Whitey is a male Wheatable.
His est DOB is 1/01

Whitey was an owner turn-in to an animal
shelter. Here is the cute write-up they
had for him:

He who barks loudest to go out gets to
go first! Whitey was letting me know he
needed to go and there was no time to
waste! Out we went where he peed a
river, looked up at me with a smile and
tail wag and all was good. He let me put
a raincoat on him as it was raining, and
we proceeded to have an enjoyable
walk. He's an incredibly spry 12 years
young with terrific leash manners. He
was surrendered to our care due to the
a housing problem after being with his
family all his life. We're told he lived with
adults and children, likes kids, is friendly
to all, is housetrained (yup!), crate
trained, knows 'sit', and is family
oriented. What a sad change for this
happy go lucky little guy. He posed for
his photos with his tail wagging,
enjoying his reward treats which he
takes with gusto. Back in the building I
dried his feet and lifted him back into his
upper kennel without issue. He's an
older dog calendar wise, but totally
young at heart. We're told he's starting
to have difficult eating dry foot and does
better with wet food....if that's his only
issue with aging, wow. Whitey is hoping
to have a new family to take care of and
curl up next to on rainy days. Don't make
him wait long.

And from his foster mom:

Whitey is a super cute moppet whose
tail never stops. He was dirty and
matted  but after a bath and some
emergency cutting of mats he is resting
comfortably on a dog bed. He was so
good in the bath and let me cut off the
mats while standing calmly on the
grooming table. I will be getting him
professionally groomed in the next day
or so and I'm sure he will look much
better.   He greeted my dog calmly and
seems very interested in making
friends. He is a kind of thin but he ate
well so we can take care of that.   Whitey
will make someone a wonderful pet.

Due to his age, Whitey will have
no adoption fee, we only want
him to have a good home to live
out his remaining years.

Neutering is being waived due to his
age. He is up to date on shots. Whitey
has had dental work done.
