Watson Watson is a male Wheatable. His estimated DOB is 8/09. Watson was a originally a stray. He was taken in by another rescuer who then contacted us. His story is below: He came wandering up to an elderly couple's home about 6 months ago and decided to stay. The elderly man loves him, but he is a very high energy dog and is just too much for the gentleman. When I took him to the vet, he was quick to pick up on Sit and Sit Up, so he is a quick learner. It won't take him long to learn basic commands. He had never been on a lead or had a collar on that we know of, but after just a bit of a challenge did well. He wasn't too impressed with getting in the car. Once there, though, he rode well. He doesn't mind being touched anywhere on his body but tends to favor his right side until he is comfortable with someone. he was a "star" at the vet's office and everyone who met him was impressed by how friendly and beautiful he is. He has been very sweet and friendly since getting here. Likes to lean up against you and give kisses. We don't believe he has ever been allowed inside as he balks at going through doorways but he is learning and will be fine when he figures out he is allowed to come inside. Watson is a very big boy weighing in at around 75 lbs. Due to his size and rambunctious personality we will not consider homes with children under 12 for this dog. Watson is neutered, up to date on shots and is heartworm negative. |
