TUCKER Tucker is a purebred male Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. His DOB is 10.29.12 Tucker has already had a rough start in life - first off by being born in puppy mill hell. From there, he was bought by a nice elderly couple who lived in a high-rise and found out the hard way that a wheaten terrier pup has more energy than two older adults -- plus, trying to housebreak a puppy while living in a high-rise apartment was a bit beyond their abilities. Since the "breeder" refused to accept Tucker back, he was given to a local small dog rescue that mostly handles dogs whose max size is 10-15 lbs. Tucker was again adopted out - this time to a family with very young, small children and a cat. Within a few days, Tucker was returned because of running over the little kids and chasing the cat. Their term was "Tucker is too much puppy and too much dog". The small dog rescue had a difficult time keeping Tucker since he is already so much larger than the other dogs. He plays well with the other dogs but is still a typical wheaten pup and is a bit of a handful. Because of our breed knowledge, they agreed to place him into S'Wheat Rescue rather than risk Tucker getting bounced around some more. Tucker is neutered and up to date on shots. |
