Libby and Laoise are a
couple of the lucky ones. They were born in
a puppymill and at 8 weeks were ripped
away from their mother and hauled across
the country in the dead of winter in a horse
trailer along with hundreds of other dogs to
be sold into slavery to produce more
puppies for the puppymillers. But, the
wonderful members of our group donated
and we were able to save these two
precious Wheaten girls from this horrible
fate. Thank you to everyone who had a
hand in rescuing these two babies and
congratulations to the two wonderful
families who have given them forever
homes.
Libby was adopted by the Dieter Family of Novi,
MI on June 28, 2001.
Laoise was adopted by Nina and Robert Rzepnicki
of South Bend, IN on June 30, 2001
Ernie was rescued from a local animal
shelter along with his brother. They were both
extremely emaciated and we were very
concerned about them. But, they both had a
strong will to live and pulled through. After a
couple of weeks of good food the sparkle came
back to his eye and the shine back to his coat.
He is now a healthy, happy boy and on June 30,
2001 he went on to a wonderful new life with his
new forever mom, Jill Spitz. He will now live in
Chicago, IL.
Chewy was rescued from a animal shelter. He was given up
by his previous owners because he chased thier chickens. Not
sure what they expected any self-respecting terrier to do! Chewy
was adopted on July 31, 2001 by Julia and Richard Codell of
Maryland!
