Amy is a 4-5 year old purebred Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.
She was rescued from some pretty bad puppymill conditions.
She has had multiple litters of puppies during her life of
slavery. She came in badly matted and with ear infections
which she is being treated for.  Amy has had ear infections for
many years and her ear canals are badly inflamed and she
has a hematoma behind one year. She is currently in a great
foster home who is giving her the tender loving care she
needs and deserves.  She is currently located in Connecticut.

Update 1/21/02 -  What a difference some good food, love and
grooming can make! At left is a picture of Amy when she was
rescued. Below, pictures of her after a few days in her
wonderful foster home and a trip to the groomers! Today Amy
had surgery to reopen her ear canals, repair a hematoma
caused by long term scratching at her badly infected ears and
she was spayed. No more puppies for Amy!! She is on
antibiotics and has had her shots and is on the road to
recovery. Reports from the vet today were that Amy came
through her surgery very well and is resting comfortably at the
clinic. Check back soon for more updates on Amy and her
condition.

Amy will need a very loving home, willing to help her on her
road to recovery and give her the happy, loving home that she
deserves after her years of hell being a breeding machine for
an inhuman puppymiller!!
