| LUIGI Luigi is a male Wheatable. His est. DOB is 8/11 Luigi was a stray who ended up in an animal shelter so we don't have any background on him. Below is some information from his foster home. He was crated over night and did just fine after a few minutes of whining. However, during the day, after Melissa came home for lunch, when she was leaving he was pretty upset and anxious. He barked and cried quite a bit. He also barks when we enter and leave the house. It seems like this is all anxiety tied to fear of abandonment, so with time and getting used to our consistent schedule, hopefully he will get better. He has made HUGE improvements socially - with us, with the dogs, with the cats. He is settling right in and has not stiffened on us at all, even trying to play a little. My mother and 11-yr-old sister also came over tonight and he got nervous and barked initially, but they ignored him and within 10 minutes he was approaching them and asking for attention. I don't know that he would be great for a home with young children, but older kids seem to be fine. Luigi is neutered and up to date on shots. |
