Lucy Lou is a purebred female
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Her DOB is 7/7/2008
Lucy is a owner turn-in. Previous owner
came home one day and Lucy was
limping and not putting any pressure on
her back leg. They took her to their vet
and did x-rays, but nothing showed up.
The vet put her on Rimadyl for two
weeks and said to see if it was just a
strain and might heal on its on. It has
not healed, and right now she is going
around the house on three legs. Owner
checked on price of surgery, and they
just don't have the funds to take
care of it.
"Lucy is a super sweet dog and is pretty
laid back. She is a tad bit overweight.
She will play with the other dogs, but
prefers just to hang out with us. She
loves to sleep upside down against a wall
with all four feet up in the air. We have
had her since she was 8 weeks old and
she is a great family dog."
Lu had her cruciate ligament repaired on
10/16/14. she will require about 12 weeks
of recuperation and must be crated and
kept quiet during that period. She will be
available for adoption in January 2015.
She is doing very, very well and is now
using the repaired leg, has lost weight
and really wants us to let her go run and
