HANK Hank is a purebred male Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. His DOB is 1/31/08 Hank is a owner turn-in. Below is some information from them: This is a very difficult letter to write and decision to make, but after much consideration we feel that the best thing for Hank is to find him a more suitable home. Unfortunately, we are unable to care for him in the way he needs and deserves. He is a sweet dog and has been raised around 3 young children. When we got Hank as a puppy, amidst a toddler and a busy family, we did not have the patience and persistence to housetrain him, therefore he is outside most of the time. We live on a farm with an unfenced yard, which often presents mud, stickers, skunks, and coyotes. This is a concern for his safety, as well as extremely difficult to care for his coat in the way it should be cared for. He is good with our kids, but his exuberance is overwhelming for our 3 year old. The jumping is a problem with visitors of any kind and particularly children. He has never bitten, but is very protective of his food. His exposure to other dogs is limited, but has not been a problem. He gets along well with our cats, but at times his play is rough with them. We recognize there are other options to rehome Hank, but we are impressed with your organization and feel that he would be assured of a good home. As difficult as this decision is to make, ultimately we want what is best for our dog. I honestly believe he will make a great dog for someone who can provide him with the proper care and environment. Hank is neutered and up to date on shots. |
