GINGER

Ginger is a purebred female Soft Coated
Wheaten Terrier.  Her DOB is 7/25/03.
Ginger is the mother to
Dora and Dixie
who are also up for adoption.

Ginger was with a group of 10 Wheatens
that were rescued from a miller in Texas.
We took all of the Wheatens from the mill
so they are no longer breeding them!

Ginger is very friendly, jumps up to greet
and her tail goes a mile a minute. She
was actually living in the house with the
puppymiller so is used to that  - she was
sleeping on the couch when we went in
to get her.

Ginger's vet bill totalled 262.60

Our Christmas Miracle Girl!

On December 7th Ginger was
discovered in her crate with her
intestines hanging outside her body.
She had chewed her spay incision open
which allowed this to happen.

She was rushed to the vet and into
emergency surgery. In the surgery she
lost nearly a foot of intestines due to
bruising. She was given a 50/50 chance
of surviving due to the high risk of
developing a life threatening infection
or from the intestines failing to heal
properly.

But, Ginger proved to everyone that she
is a fighter and had no intention of
giving up. She was up with her tail
wagging just a few hours after surgery
when the vet said she should not be
physically able to stand yet and sailed
through recovery with not the slightest
complication.

Everyone at the vet could not say
enough about this special girl. They
were all very impressed with her and her
personality. Not to mention her will to
live.

Ginger is now home and other than
having to wear the cone for a few more
days to insure she is not able to get to
the surgery site she has been declared
out of the woods and a true miracle girl!

Our vet gave us a large discount on her
bill but with emergency surgery, a night
at the ER clinic and 10 days at the vet
her bill came to just about $900.

A huge
THANK YOU to all of the
Angels listed below who were generous
enough to donate to allow us to save the
life of this very special girl!

Ginger is spayed, heartworm negative
and up to date on shots.
