| DANDI Dandi is a purebred female Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Her DOB is 5/21/04 Dandi is a owner turn-in. Some info from them is below: She is a good-hearted, loving dog. She has no other health problems. She has never bitten anyone but is very high energy and difficult to keep calm so she can be hard to handle. She weighs just under 30 pounds and likes to jump up and paw people but (inconsistently) responds to “down.” She barks quite a bit, too. She has been an indoor dog and restricted to certain areas of the house. If a door is open, she runs out and is challenging to get back home. When she goes out to potty, she is on a tie-out. She loves people and has been around children all her life but scares some smaller children and because of her high energy and excitement. She is housebroken and can “sit” and sometimes “stay” but depending on the situation, her obedience is inconsistent. She needs an experienced dog owner. Update from foster mom: Dandi is great dog! She has a great personality and loves everyone! She is very high energy but loves being outside- and she is able to drain her own energy in the fenced yard. She does tend to pull on walks, however the pinch collar has seemed to stop the pulling. I have not noticed a lot of barking. She has learned not to jump on me to get affection. She gets along very well with my dog - they love playing tug-a- war and chase in the yard. My bed has become her favorite place to nap - she sleeps with me and my dog every night - and with some exercise she goes right to sleep when the lights go out. She has been a joy to have in my home.
