DAISY MAY Daisy May is a purebred female Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Her DOB is 3/8/05. Daisy May is a owner turn-in. Below is some information on that: I adopted Daisy a year ago and love her dearly. She is the sweetest dog I have ever had and it is breaking my heart to take this step. I live alone and feel this may be my best choice for Daisy. This is what I have discovered over the past year. Daisy is much happier if she has another dog(s) to be with -- preferably males. She shows some resistance to females as she ignores the yellow lab next door and shows no interest at all in her, but two yards up is a male blood hound and she's curious about him. Daisy enjoys it when I take her to my daughter's because she has a male Shitzu. I see Daisy excited and happy when we arrive and disappointed when we leave my daughters and know she misses the kids (ages 6 & 9) and their dog. Daisy enjoys children too. Daisy is a joy to have with other animals and I have never seen her be aggressive. Daisy RARELY barks--maybe 6 times in the year I've owned her. She doesn't get on any furniture, jumps or chews. She was not house trained when I got her but learned right away. Daisy had a tiny bit of urine leakage when I got her but after I had her spayed it got noticeably worse. The vet put her on Proin and it works perfect. Here's my problem. Daisy is VERY VERY VERY sensitive to any loud noises--fireworks, guns, thunder, lightening, even loud voices and yelling. My son-in-law has one of those loud male voices and she is afraid of him. . She really is a GOOD dog. The fireworks and guns, well, I live in a small town in Texas--they just happen. The storms are the worst. They move in fast here without a lot of warning. It only takes one or two soft rumbles of thunder or flashes of lightening for Daisy to lose her mind and run. I have not been able to secure my yard well enough to keep her from slipping under the fence and running when she gets frightened. And I'm not in a position to replace my fence and add another dog or two which I'm sure would help ease her anxiety. My biggest fear is that she'll be hit and killed when she bolts. She doesn't "play" with other dogs but she needs and loves the company. I live alone and do not feel I can provide Daisy with the kind of home that will keep her safe and be happiest with. We are very, very close and she has come to be trusting, open and affectionate with me even though I'm the third owner in her young life. She especially loves to be brushed and that's part of our time together almost every night. She has a sweet, willing spirit and I want her to live a long and happy life. I can't bear the thought of her escaping and it be my fault because I was selfish with her safety. Daisy May is spayed and up to date on shots prior to adoption. She is located in Grandby, TX |
