Clara Clara is a purebred female Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Her est. DOB is 7/08 Clara Loves to run and will get the zoomies around her back yard. She is an only dog, but is always friendly to dogs while walking on leash, or at pet stores etc and I believe she would do well with another dog in the home. She has not been tested around cats at all. Clara loves to play with toys - especially toys that crackle or squeak! One of her favorite past times is to cuddle on the couch, and she sleeps in the 11 yr old daughters bed each night, since they have been best friends. Clara greets guests by barking to be petted, but does not do a jumping greeting. Clara can be afraid if you reach into her crate to leash her, but is fine once the leash is on. Clara originally was adopted from a shelter and was part of a hoarding situation, and some of her behaviors probably stem from that part of her life. She was rescued from that situation when she was approximately 1 yr old. She is skittish at times, and was not socialized at all when she was younger, or housetrained, so she has learned to come out of her shell very well but is still not suited for a family with small kids and lots of activity. . She is not aggressive at all, just nervous. Her current home has an 11 yr old daughter who Clara adores, and a younger son who is autistic. His fast, sporadic movements have made Clara anxious, and she and the son no longer trust each other and are a bit of afraid of each other. The former owners love Clara and will hate to see her go, but feel that they are no longer the best home for her, and must consider their son's issues as well. Clara is spayed, up to date on shots. |
