| BUCK Buck is a male Wheatable. His estimated DOB is 5/07 Buck was found as a stray and ended up in a kill shelter. A good Samaritan pulled him out in order to save his life and contacted us to see if we could take him in and get him the veterinary care he needs. He was a huge matted mess as you can see in the pictures below. When he was shaved he lost 4.7 lbs in filthy fur and was left weighing a ghastly 21 lbs. Besides being severely emaciated as you can see in the pictures, Buck was heartworm positive. He has been treated for them and is now fine. Buck does have some food aggression related to being starved nearly to death. He will need a home that is aware of this issue and will work with him and not attempt to take food away from him. He seems to do better with women than with men. For the safety of both Buck and children we will not place him in a home with children under 16. Buck is neutered and up to date on shots.
