BARNIE Barnie is a purebred male Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. His DOB is 11/14/07 Barnie is a owner turn-in. Below is some information from them: We have a 12 year old male lab (who is a big baby!) and 2 female chihuahuas... When Barnie was brought into our home as an 11 week old pup, he seemed to get along just fine with everyone...in fact, he loves the little chi chis and usually sleeps with them almost every night...BUT as he has gotten older, he has become very aggressive towards my lab and has actually attacked him a few times within the last few weeks. My lab does not have a mean bone in his body, so he has gotten the worst of the fights and it breaks my heart each time they have fought. I recently tried to break up a fight they were in and my lab actually bit me (which has never occurred in the 12 years he has lived with us!) My wheatie has never bitten anyone "human". He is very loving and obedient when the lab is not around. We have a 4 year daughter that he adores and has never shown aggression towards her. He is house-broken and has always been an inside dog. This is breaking my heart, but I really feel that he needs to be placed. He doesn't seem to mind cats as we have one and he has never shown aggression towards her. I have been thinking of everyone I know that I could place Barnie with, but they all have pets and I am so afraid that if I try to place him in a home...he wouldn't get the love he deserves! After reading about your adoption procedures, I felt that at least his new forever home would be carefully researched and he could be placed in a good environment! If you think that you could help me find him a good home or depending on where you are located, allow me to release him to you, I would appreciate it. Once again, this is very hard for me to do...but I want what is best for all of my "family" of dogs and I feel this is the only recourse. I do not see another solution other than removing him from his home. Barney is neutered and up to date on shots. |
