| BARKLEY Barkley is a purebred male Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. His DOB is 3/8/07 Barkley is a owner turn-in. Below is some information from them: We have four little girls- ranging from 6- 12. He loves them, but our 9 year old has been diagnosed with Early Onset Bipolar disorder and she has raged and become explosive with Barkley. About a year ago, my daughter kicked him in the snout and he bit her, but it was provoked. He is generally not an aggressive dog, but will growl at my daughter when she gets too close to him when she is having an emotional melt down. He is a loveable dog and since we have a very hyper household, he tends to be extremely hyper as well. He is calm when things are calm, but generally loves to play with the girls. Our concern is because of our daughters emotional needs that eventually, he will become aggressive because she tends to rage at him. My husband lost his job for a year and was at home with Barkley, but when he went back to work, Barkley is now home alone and does not get out as often as we would like. Our daughter’s therapist who works in our home suggested finding Barkley another place to live and that would reduce our stress on the household as well as on him. Because Barkley has been abused by and shown aggression to children we will not consider any homes with children under 16 for this dog. Barkley is neutered and up to date on shots. |
